Yamaha Motor India posts 17.4pcoverall sales growth

Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. has registered a growth
of 17.4pc in overall sales during January 2014 as compared to the corresponding
period last year. Yamaha’s successful entry into the scooter segment with the
launch of Ray and Ray Z along with the innovative on- going customer centric
activities has been instrumental in boosting its sales to an all new
level.
The company sold 31,721 units in January 2014 as against
29,785 units sold in January last year in the domestic market thereby
registering a domestic sales growth of 6.5pc. In the export markets the company
sold 10,874 units in January 2014 as compared to 6,510 units sold in the same
month last year achieving a growth of 67pc. The overall sales stood at 42,595
units in January 2014 while 36,295 units were sold in January 2013, thereby
registering a 17.4pc overall growth.

that we’ve witnessed in the past month on account of our strong product
portfolio, upbeat customer confidence and the launch of the scooter Ray
precious edition and Ray Z last year, which has invariably managed to keep the
growth consistent. Apart from our new scooter launches, the robust results can
be attributed to our strong product portfolio and steadfast customer
confidence. We shall continue with our endeavors as far as customer engagement
program is considered. The calendar this year is teeming with activities and I

Yamaha is getting ready to put up an exciting show at the
12th Auto Expo 2014. Yamaha will put on display one of the most exciting and
innovative product lineup at Hall No. 6, India Expo Centre. The theme of the
Yamaha stall will be to bring out the essence of brand Yamaha – “Revs your
heart”.
